59 ENGLISH Meðalfellsvatn is located close to Hvalfjörður in Kjósarhreppur, about 50 km from Reykjavik. The size of the lake is about 2 km 2 , very well connected to the adherent rivers. No camping but there are several option in the area. See kjos.is for more information. Small char is most common, but also brown trout, sea trout and salmon. Fishing is allowed from 7.00 to 22.00 every day of the week, between 19 st April and 20 th September. Fishing in the rivers is strigtly forbidden, and within 50m radius from the rivers. You are obliged to release any kelts (salmon that has already spowned). You know them by how thin they are. Most likely in april and may. Please respect summerhouses landmarks.
