51 ENGLISH Langavatn in Borgarbyggð is located in the Western part of Iceland, close to Borgarnes. One takes Highway 1 through Borgarnes, to the Svignaskarð junction, and from there the road on the left, by Gljúfurá, takes one to the lake, just about 13 km away. Langavatn‘s size is about 5.1 km 2 . It is blessed with various outstanding tributaries. One can expect char and brown trout in abundance and of various sizes.
