ENGLISH Berufjarðavatn is located at Berufjörður, in the Western Peninsula (Vestfirðir). Distance from Reykjavik is approx. 215 km and about 150 km from Borgarnes and Grundarfjörður. Berufjarðarvatn covers about 0.15 km 2 . It is easy to access the lake just below the Hotel Bjarkalundur. At Hotel Bjarkarlundur (400 m) you can pay for access to the camping area. Fishing is permitted from 7.00 a.m. - 11.00 p.m. from 15th of May to 15th of September. There is a good fishing possibilities in the lake mostly brown trout and the area is great for family fishing and camping.
