ENGLISH Kleifarvatn is located at Reykjanesskagi. The distance from Reykjavik is about 34 km. Access is very easy, since the lake lies next to the Krísuvíkurleið, accessible from Hafnarfjörður. Kleifarvatn is one of Iceland’s largest lakes, covering about 8m 2 . Kleifarvatn is renowned for large brown trout and nice char. Fishing season is from 15th of April to 30th September both day and night. Only allowed to fish with flies, worm and lures/spinners. Other bait is forbidden. Boating is forbidden in the lake and no camping is allowed in the area. Please help us keep the area clean by no littering. It is strighly forbidden to off-road. Please follow the roads and paths and have your Fishing Card handy to show the landlord upon his arrival. Contact persons can be found at The Angling Club of Hafnarfjörður, tel. 565-4020. Það fiskast vel á JOAKIM´S græjurnar. Við eigum nánast allt í fluguveiðina, stangir, hjól og línur. Einnig hjólatöskur, vaðstafi og hnýtingarefni í silungaflugur.
